Maryland Summer

When I'm not working on game assets and designing, I enjoy painting.
Here is one of my plein air landscape oil painting studies I completed over this past summer in Maryland.

I started by using sharpened vine charcoal to block out the shapes and desired composition, lightly sprayed down the drawing with Blair, then completed an under painting using burnt umber. Afterwards, I mixed my colors and then began applying them to the canvas.

Materials:
Oil Paint
Natural Boar Hair Brushes
Palette Knives
Treated Paper
Treated Wood Palette
Cloth
Sharpened Vine Charcoal
Turpenoid
Clove Oil
Easel
A good rimmed hat.
